 cvCurriculum Vitae downloadPDF [776 KB]jean laurent sasportes Jean-Laurent SASPORTES studied dance with Anne Marie Porras (Jazz), Peter Goss, Hans Züllig, Jean Cebron (modern dance), Nina Vyroubova, Suzanne Oussov (ballet). Diverses experiences with choreographers (Kei Takei, Alwyn Nikolais) completed his dancer and teacher formation (French diplom for modern dance teacher). He practises Kinomichi (with M. Noro, founder of Kinomichi and of the International Kinomichi Center in Paris) and Tai Chi since more than twenty years. 1952 born in Casablanca 1970-75 Studies Mathematics, Physics an Philosophy in Marseille 1975 Breaks-off his University studies and begins to study modern dance in Paris with Peter Goss Since 1979 solo-dancer in the Pina Bausch Company, dances in all repertory pieces through most of almost all important performing events around the world Since September 1996 - independant dancer, choreographer and teacher - guest soloist with the Pina Bausch company for the repertory pieces but dedicates himself - mainly to his own work. Works also regularely with the director Yoshi Oida for theatre plays and operas directing and choreographing and, later on as choreograph as well as actor with the director Burkhard C. Kosminski in the Duesseldorfer Schauspielhaus. Since 1989 and till September 2002 worked together with the musician Peter Kowald. This collaboration will the beginning of his work in improvisation and structured improvisation dance. Different little dance pieces have been created out of those collaborations (Stock, Security, Diva, Jeune Fille, Money, "let the trouble come when the trouble comes", "electroshock", "la vecchia" and "Ur"). This Duos work have been and still are presented through many countries around the world under the title "Short pieces". In 1998 works with the students of the Folkwanghochschule in Essen on a choreographic project. The dancetheatre piece "Wumm Wumm, immer..." will be the result of this project. In 1999 works with the students of the Arnhem Dance Academie and EDDC in Holland on a choreographic project. The dancetheatre piece "Meeting with an angel" will be the result of this project. Since then and till now, he will teach in the Academy as guest teacher. In 2000 starts to work in collaboration with the musician Hans Reichel (e-guitar, daxophon). In 2001 start his work with the Theater director Burkhard C. Kosminski and the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus (Germany) as: - Choreographer for the theatreplay "Dancer in the dark" (a stage version of the film - from Lars von Trier). Premiere 21st. October, in collaboration with the director - Burkhard C. Kosminski. - an actor in the role of Enrique for the theatreplay "39,90" in the Düsseldorfer - Schauspielhaus, directed by Burkhard C. Kosminski. Premiere 21st. November. - This play will be showed through the whole season 2001-2002 and 2002-2003. - First appearence of "Short Pieces" (Duo with Peter Kowald) in Canada at the Festival - "a Pina Bausch Hommage" in Toronto (October 2001) 2002 - Choreography and directing work in collaboration with the choreographer - Anne Marie Porras, as well as main role in the dance theatre piece "Paroles d'ange". - Presented through France at the "Montpellier Dance Festival" in July 2002. - First appearence of "Short Pieces" (Duo with Peter Kowald) in the U.S.A. at the Vision Art - Festival in New York (June 2002). Unfortunatly, a few months later, Peter Kowald will die - in New York from a heart attack after a concert. - Performing the wohle season through with the Pina Bausch Company (repertory pieces) - and as an actor in the play "39,90" (Duesseldorfer Schauspielhaus). 2003 his work with the Theater director B.C. Kosminski and the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus (Germany) continue as: - Actor in the role of "Osip" for the theater play "Platonov" (Tchekov), - (First on June, 5th) - Choreograph for the theaterplay "Platonov" - Leading the "Body and Movement" training for the whole Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus - Ensemble and also performing the wohle season through with: - the Pina Bausch Company (repertory pieces) - the musician Hans Reichel in the Duo "Short Pieces" - as an actor in the play "39,90" and the play "Platonov" (Tchekov) at - the Duesseldorfer Schauspielhaus 2004 - First work with the direcor Michael Simon for the role of "Djami" in the opera - "L'Espace Dernier", written by Matthias Pinscher for the "National Opera Bastille - in Paris" (first: February 23rd. 2004) - Start to work with the Japanese doublebass player Tetsu Saitho in Tokyo - Performing and choreographing for the company "Mademoiselle Cinema" at SessionHouse - in Tokyo (8th. and 9th. August) - Work as actor-dancer for the choreograph Caterina Sagna (Italy) for the creation - "Heil Tanz" (First: Nov. 2004) and tour in many French towns - Choreographic work for the play "the cat on a burning deck" from T. Wiliams with the - director B.C.
